Know all men by these present[s] that
I Abel Dare of the Township of Stow Creek in the county of Cumberland
& State of New Jersey [Yeoman], am held & firmly bound unto
Richard Wood Jr. & George Bacon [Merchants], of the township of
Greenwich in county & state [afar], in the sum of eleven hundred
eighty two dollars & twenty four cents gold or silver money to be paid
to the ... Richard Wood Jr. and George Bacon or their certain attorney,
heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, for which payments will &
truly to be made I bind myself my heirs executors & administrators
jointly, [severally], firmly by these present[s], Sealed with my seal
dated this tenth - day of June - one thousand eight hundred and six.
The Condition of the above
obligation is such that if the above bound Abel Dare his heirs executors
administrators, do well & and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the
above named Richard Wood Jr. & George Bacon or their certain attorney
their heirs executors administrators or assigns the just and full sum of
five hundred ninety one dollars & thirty seven cents in gold or silver
money in ten days from the date [hereoff] with interest for the same from
the date [hereoff] then the above obligation to be void and of none effect
otherwise to remain in full force and virtue
