The Washington Whig (1815-1824)

The second Bridgetown, New Jersey, weekly publication.  Began as a Democratic newspaper, but in the 1820s turned to support Henry Clay and John Quincy Adams; as such, it was a Whig party paper.  This digitized form is based on the microfilm issues housed at the Lummis Library, Greenwich, NJ.  These newspapers include local news and advertisements, although their main purpose was to present national and international news.
